Happy Anniversary!

Flashback to 3/21/08 My wedding day!

Now it's me and my husband's 2nd anniversary! We went to Eddie V's and had an awesome meal with a free dessert. Our real anniversary is 3/21, but we celebrated a few days later. Love this guy!

Earrings and Polish

Borghese "Venitian Red" and CG "Pink Twinkle." I love this glitter by CG; it's actually more of a bronze flakie polish. Layered over the red I thought it went well with this red/army green pair of hoops.

I know I need to stop taking pictures without moisturizing my hands. I'm looking ashy, but I blame it all on the acetone. I just cant wait to start right after I'm done painting! This is OPI "Ink" suede with a glossy tip.

Hair Pics and New Glasses

I haven't added a hair pic to here before, so I thought I thought I would add a shot of the first time I wore my own hair out in an airdried bun. I'm also trying to get used to my new glasses because I am a habitual contact sleeper.

Grape Going!

This my mani after 12 hours of work. It's Sally Hansen Instant Dri "Grape Going" I really like this " blurple" color. It kind of matches my scrub top. No fancy earrings; only simple silver hoops today.

Green Week nails

For Green week/St. Patty's Day (also the debut of pics from my new phone!)

This is Sally Hansen's "Emerald City" I really like this green, but when I tried to stamp over it, I only got these 3 nails to turn out halfway decent. :( It kept peeling of my nails and the stamp and being really crooked. I ended up taking it all off. I need to practice more!

Pre-clean up

Milani "Hi-Tech" with Konad green and white stamped with plate M36. It was hard to capture the holo in the polish, but I tried here. I'm also not a big fan of the butterflies, but it was my first time using this plate.

Konad and earrings of the day

Konad over Orly "Gumdrop." I chose this over China Glaze "Fore Audrey" because it came with the mini lip gloss! Here it looks more green...

...and here it looks more blue. Either way it matches my blue/green earrings for tomorrow! I'm not looking forward to my 12 hour shift, especially with daylight savings time (I'm losing an hour of sleep...blah) but every time I wash my hands, or sit down to chart, I'll smile b/c my nails make my happy!

Konad and earrings of the day

I added some Kondad and glitter to the mani from yesterday.

These are the earrings I wore today. I have to wear navy blue scrubs ALL THE TIME for work. It sucks, so I try to add some color with my nails, earrings, and headbands. I'm a psychiatric RN so I don't have as much direct patient contact as a med surg or OR nurse, so I can kinda wear whatever jewelery/makeup/polish I want! The patients actually like it :)

Chocolate Week Mani

I found Essie "Sassy Satchel" (aka chocolate) on sale at Target for $1.98! (red sticker) I already had Essie "Wrapped in Rubies" (aka raspberry truffle) in the sale bin at Ulta.

Rock Stars I Like

First and foremost, my husband. This picture is after his barber accidentally cut all his hair off :( but he's still a cutie! He'll always be my biggest rock star!

CLAUDIO SANCHEZ!!!!! He is the singer of my favorite band ever Coheed and Cambria (also The Prize Fighter Inferno) Love, love, love his voice!

Patrick Stump singer in Fall out Boy. That band is my guilty pleasure, I don't care for Pete, but I really like Patrick's voice.

Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Stone Sour. (my favorite is Slipknot) I saw him without the scary mask one day and thought "aww, he's pretty cute!" Again, love him for his voice.

Nails

I have found a new passion: nail polish and nail art! I still love hair, earrings, headbands and stuff but I like the "artist" that painting my nails brings out in me

I should also add, I'm a former nail biter who always used to be ashamed of my nails. Now I cant wait to show them off!
