These are just a few looks I did with Orly "Iron Butterfly" matte. I tried to to a Ruffian manicure, with the gold half moon on the bottom on the nail bed, but I don't like it. So I tried a teal half moon look (made with hole-reinforcer stickers) and covered the whole nail with a matte top coat. On the ring finger I used a shiny top coat and a sticker!
Old pics I found on my phone of my first yellow mani. I added a leopard print stripe from Konad plate m57. I think this is a LA Girl brand from Forever 21. I'm not sure, but I like it!
ETA: next day nail art from my new fauxnad plates from China!
A simple red-ish/pink-ish mani with NYC polish from the dollar store. #235 (no name) I really like the depth of this color and I will definitely be using it again!
This little guy kinds sums up part of my weekend at work. I am just glad that there are so many supportive people there. I'm going to keep a positive attitude and not let negative comments get to me.
How can you not feel confident after looking at this dude? :)
Edited to add nail art! I got bored and I probably should have stopped while I was ahead, but I kept experimenting. Oh well :)
I've been getting into brownish bronze colors alot more lately. Color Club "Wild and Willing" is a sheer bronze glitter, so I layered it over Wet and Wild "Rustic" (on thumbs and ring fingers) You can really only see the difference with the flash on.
All the recent bright colors I've been doing really made me appreciate this simple, nude "work appropriate" color. It's hard to see, but there is a subtle shimmer and holo effect that a topcoat dulls :( but in the sun it shines quite a bit.
I tried to roller set my hair yesterday, but the curls looked crazy, so I just wrapped it overnight. This is the final result. I like it! I just wish it didn't take so long. (45 min to roll, 1 hour to dry)
